Aging in Place On-Site Consultations
There are many parts to the aging puzzle, not just housing. ADM Architecture has built strong business relations with the following industries and professionals that are a part of helping the aging make the best decisions for themselves and their families, including:

When you schedule your consultation, here is a list of basic design ideas to discuss with ADM:
- Wheelchair or walker maneuverability
- Grab rails blocking
- Comfortable seating heights
- “Multi-generational home”
- Hard surfaces and low maintenance
- Open spaces and wide doorways
- Closets with two-tier shelf/rod
- Lower kitchen counters by 2"-3" (retrofit dishwasher and movable sink height)
- Elevator (stacking closets for later, up and down) — cheaper than buying land!
Aging in Place Consultation Rates
Two-hour site visit: $495
Includes the following (totals approximately 5-6 hours):
- 2 full hours on site evaluating the project, home, and your situation
- Travel time and mileage within a 50-mile radius (additional time/miles at $0.58/mile and admin time rates)
- Photos and measuring on site of existing conditions
- One-page summary letter with photo sketch(es) about brainstormed solutions or recommendations for alterations
- Plan sketches with dimensions showing discussions about “as built” conditions and potential design solutions
Additional time requests at ADM 2012 hourly rates: Residential $105/hr architect and $80/hour drafting and admin.
Four-hour site visit: $795
Includes the following (totals approximately 7-9 hours):
- 4 full hours on site evaluating the project, home, and your situation
- Travel time and mileage within a 50-mile radius (additional time/miles at $0.58/mile and admin time rates)
- Photos and measuring on site of existing conditions, on site sit-down “design discussions” and sketching with client
- 2-3 page summary letter with multiple photo sketches about brainstormed solutions or recommendations for alterations
- Plan sketches with dimensions showing discussions about “as built” conditions and potential design solutions — includes up to two interior elevations as well (for example, shower wall / kitchen at sink)
Additional time requests at ADM 2011 hourly rates: Residential $105/hr architect and $80/hour drafting and admin.
