Why am I blogging?

I have started my blog for a few reasons, and they are based on my desire to share my passions and educate the public about things that I think bring value to all of our lives. I am a licensed Architect with 15 years in the industry, an entrepreneur (real estate and small business opportunity), and a loving dad to two beautiful children. I am passionate about things I believe in, and I enjoy sharing these passions with the public.

These blogs will typically include the following topics:

• In Architecture it will include industry trends and new product information, green design, energy efficient home and commercial solutions, and lowering our carbon footprint.
• In the realm of “Empowering the Mature Market” (the aging and elderly) I will be discussing “The Aging in Place Phenomenon.”

With 10,000 people turning 65 years old starting in January of this year 2011, I want to (as an architect) let you know:

1. How you can remodel your home to stay home (where 90% of those polled would prefer to be).
2. Why it works and makes sense for your family, and for your finances vs. assisted living or other “away from home” live-in solutions.

My grandmother lived in a “broken home” from the Aging-In-Place perspective.  Most of our homes are “broken” for design and layout related to the huge change in our age demographic that is going to be explosively bulging in the 65+ group in the next 30 years.  We have to pay attention, and we have to be proactive.

I also have a passion for protecting your identity and having “equal justice for all” by:

• Providing affordable access to your rights with one of the BEST law firms in your state.
• Protecting you and your children/family members from being taken advantage of.
• Offering the best product and company in the world for I.D. Theft Protection, and more importantly, actual RESTORATION.

As a father with children (Noah 7, Paige 4) I want to protect them.  As an adult son, I want to protect my parents (65+ year olds are scammed at a rate of 3:1). Therefore, I also (as a part-time job) represent the best company in the world and the largest law firm entity in the U.S. and Canada, teamed with the best identity theft restoration program and company in the world, all in one product that is less than $1/day.  What do you spend on cable TV?  What do you spend on your cell phone bills?  Auto Insurance?  Medical Insurance?  Probably $ hundreds $ of dollars per month… So why wouldn’t you spend under $1/day for “Legal Peace of Mind” in this era, when there are 3x as many court filings as hospital visits (really 6x if you recognize that there are TWO people in every court filing) – You are SIX TIMES more likely to have a “legal issue” than visit the hospital, yet you pay $200 – 800 per month for your family medical insurance.

Finally we can have affordable “access our rights” so we have them and can stand up for them when we are treated unfairly, whether the issue is traumatic or trivial. This allows you and your family to have “Peace of Mind, Day and Night, Now and Forever”, a priceless benefit.  Making $25/hr and paying $300/hr isn’t access to your rights (trust me, I know, I have an empty 401K to prove it, paying retail attorney costs for an everyday issue 50% of us may face). The legal system is not attainable “retail” and in the “old school” industry model design any longer, and we’ve fixed that with Legal Shield. I believe in sharing this information as well.

Finally, I will also share occasionally what is new and current with ADM Architecture, and a bit about the kiddos, and some inspiration and quotes from some of the greats in “personal development”, as I continue to work on myself and improve my own life in the areas of relationships, leadership, finances, overcoming adversity, spirituality, and the like. To give you a feel for this set of topics, let me share with you my personal mission statement:
